Julia Child let people in on the Cuisinart® secret and so did James Beard. They were among the first culinary experts to hail the food processor as a revolutionary kitchen appliance when it was introduced to America in 1973 by the late Cuisinart founder, Carl Sontheimer. They saw the food processor as a quick and easy way to make fine food and healthy dishes.
Under management from Conair Corporation since 1989, the legacy is alive and well. Today, Cuisinart is a universally recognized name, endorsed by culinary connoisseurs such as Jacques Pépin and Hubert Keller.
Cuisinart’s Mission is to Help You “Savor the Good Life®”
The prestigious Cuisinart® brand is not limited to food processors. Plugged or unplugged, nobody covers the kitchen like Cuisinart. The company is a full-service culinary resource with a wide array of products, preferred by chefs and favored by consumers.
Nobody loves Cuisinart like me! My kitchen is full of Cuisinart products because they are a quality product that does the job it is created to do each and every time and they are made to last! Not only that, they are always beautiful and look wonderful in my kitchen! Other companies may come and go, but Cuisinart® has been a mainstay in my home since the day I got married back in 1984!
I was Blessed to receive a 6-Slice Traditional Waffle Maker for review. Folks, it was about time for a new waffle maker. My waffle maker was on it’s last legs. It was 26 years old and a gift from my bridal shower. I bid it a fond farewell. It was small and saw us through many a morning. Adios old waffle maker.
Cuisinart streamlines the traditional waffle iron, and then makes it bigger! Cooks 6 full-size waffles for a family breakfast or a new twist on dessert. The sides of the elegant brushed stainless steel housing are slightly flared for a designer look that’s practical too, catching drips before they hit the counter. With 6 shade settings, indicator lights, an audible “ready” tone, and a lid that locks to ensure even baking, perfect Cuisinart waffles are perfectly foolproof.
I wanted to make sure that waffles spanned the generations!! I phoned my 22 year old nephew and asked him “If you had the time to have prepare a leisurely Saturday morning breakfast and you could make whatever you wanted? What would it be?” His reply? “Waffles of course! That’s a no brainer! From scratch of course, Auntie!” Woo Hoo! Score! I had my answer! I think everyone loves homemade waffles! Young, Old and in between!
The Cuisinart 6-Slice Traditional Waffle Maker is making my breakfasts around here fabu! No more ‘one waffle at a time’ shenanigans, or make one waffle and stack ’em up and keep ’em hot in the oven while I make more tricks. No siree Bob! I love that I can make SIX nice big waffles at once! Oh the joy of sitting down to nice hot waffles with the family! I don’t think I’ve ever done that. That’s HUGE for me!
What I adore MOST about my new Waffle Maker is the taste of my waffles! They’re crispy and golden brown on the outside (I like to use #4 setting) and light and fluffy inside. My family loves fancy schmancy mix-ins! Sweet Pea loves chocolate chip waffles, Hubby loves peach waffles and I love blueberry waffles. So I just toss in a handful of whatever we love and we each have our favorites! Easy Peasy! Oh and I make extra waffles and freeze the leftovers for weekday mornings! Woot!
The Cuisinart® 6-Slice Traditional Waffle Maker is easy to care for. The Plates are non-stick and just need to be sprayed with cooking spray or wiped down with oil prior to use. After use brush off crumbs, wipe with a damp cloth and viola. Exterior wipes clean with a soft dry cloth
I also love the modern look of the Cuisinart® 6-Slice Traditional Waffle Maker. Brushed Stainless Steel is a fave of mine! It looks nice in any kitchen and resists fingerprints! I like the cool touch handle on the top of the Waffle Maker as well. I can’t tell you how many times I burned my fingers on my old waffle iron.
How wonderful not to have to encounter a cord flopping in the breeze every time I open my cabinet! (26 years of that darn near drove me nutz!) Thank goodness there’s a cord wrap under the waffle maker. This may not be a big deal to some, but it’s a big deal to me! I LOVE this feature! If you keep your appliances on the counter top, this feature keeps your counter looking clutter-free!

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon lemon zest
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
