Years ago, before I became a vegetarian I read something that stuck with me. It was an article about the ingredients in lipstick. It horrified me. I remember something about fish scales to produce a glimmer, and carmine, which is derived from beetles for red coloring. How gross! I’m not sure how much Lip Gloss and Lipstick I actually eat, but I know I lick my lips when I’m wearing it and I seem to be applying my gloss and lipstick numerous times during the day. I’ve also said it before and I’ll say it again, “What goes on your skin, goes into your body!
