Nova Oliva is a family owned olive oil company located in Chile.  The olives farms are owned by the three families, as is the production plant where the oil is produced and bottled, allowing for complete quality control. It is an early harvest, cold press, all natural, extra virgin olive oil.

I have to be honest, the only olive oils I’ve used are Italian olive oils.  So when I had the opportunity to try Nova Oliva Olive Oils from Chile I was excited to try something new.  These are every bit as good as Italian olive oils but the taste is a bit different.  I use olive oils for dipping, dressing and topping salads and veggies, so I need an olive oil that’s a fabulous quality and tastes delicious!

Nova Oliva Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil was a Gold Medal Winner 2010 Los Angeles International Tasting Competition.  When I learned that I was very anxious to try it!  The flavor is slightly peppery and very very flavorful.  I love this as a dip for breads and as an ingredient in salad dressings.  Because the flavor is so rich and intense I find a little goes a long way.

How to enjoy Nova Oliva Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil

• Use as in ingredient in dressings.  Drizzle over salads and fresh veggies.
• Fabulous for lightly frying foods.  The flavor holds up very well in fried potatoes, fish and meats and vegetables.
• By its great flavor, it is recommended to grease in bread and to serve.
• Strongly recommended for baking, because ideal for baking, because it makes the dough exceptionally smooth and elastic.
• Ideal for all kinds of processes of cooking and grilling

Nova Oliva Selection Extra Virgin Olive Oil was a Silver Medal Winner 2010 Los Angeles International Tasting Competition.  It’s a balanced fruity olive oil with a fine herbal touch, with a gently bitterness and a pleasant taste at mouth, rather sweet with a slightly peppery after time.  Nova Oliva Selection Extra Virgin Olive Oil has a lighter taste than the premium.  The flavor is a bit more delicate and herbaceous.

Nova Oliva Selection Extra Virgin Olive Oil is delicious in salad dressings, tossed with fresh veggies and can even be used in baking.  It’s ideal with all your summertime grilled meats, fishes and pasta salads too!  Available in 250 and 500 ml bottles.
