Alyssa Boyle, Owner and Creator of Cavewoman Bars had always loved desserts and was famous for making cookies and bars, she had adopted a healthier lifestyle over the years and was determined to cut back on the amount of sugar and processed foods she allowed into her body. One day she was eating an organic energy bar and, while enjoying it, she wished she were eating a piece of her holiday figgy pudding cake.  Vowing to stay junk-food-free, she decided then and there to create a bar that tasted like figgy pudding, but without the sugar, flour, milk and eggs.  Two days later, the “Figgy Pudding” bar was being taste-tested by her friends.  Two weeks later, the “Figgy Pudding” bar was perfected and the name Cavewoman Bars® was adopted.  She chose Cavewoman Bars® because her bars are made with only Fruit, Nuts, and Spices, like our ancient cave-dwelling ancestors used to gather.

These sweet, luscious, delightful bars are Vegan, Soy-Free, Gluten-Free and Refined Sugar-Free. They contain only the finest raw Fruit, Nuts and Spices.  Who knew healthy could be so darned decadent!

I was Blessed to receive an assortment of Cavewoman Bars for review.

Cavewoman Bars

There are five sweet scrumptious flavors to choose from and what struck me, was that they were not your ‘run of the mill bar flavors’.  So I was pretty excited to take ‘em for a spin!  I had a huge wedding rehearsal dinner to attend one day, so I figured I would have a light breakfast.  I made myself a huge mug of tea and opened my Cavewoman Blueberry Pancake Bar.  I have to be honest, I don’t like pancakes.  I was kinda traumatized by ‘em as a child.  Long story! hahah  But I love blueberries!  This sweet, moist bar is jam packed with fresh blueberries, dates, almonds, pecans and cashews!  It’s got an irresistible hint of maple too!  The Blueberry Pancake Bar makes the perfect light breakfast!

I know these are Cavewoman bars but men love ‘em too!  My nephew Micah loves Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, so when he saw my bar he begged me for it.  What the heck, I caved and gave it to him.  His impression?  He loved the leopard print packaging!  After scarfing down the bar he tried to steal my other bars!  HaHa!

If you’re out and about and need a quickie snack, grab a PB & J!  So much better for ya than going through the drive thru.  They won’t melt in your purse either!  Baklava and Banana Nut Bread are two foods I love!  Cavewoman bars does ‘em right!  They are sweet, 100% Natural, Vegan and Gluten-Free!
