Do You Bake? Yes I do, when I have time!  I love the smell of baked goods perfuming my home, warming my kitchen and beckoning family and friends to come in, sit, relax and stay for a bit.  I also love a short-cut.  But it has to be a great short-cut or it’s not worth my time!

Do You Bake? mixes are easy peasy to make and taste homemade because they are. Use them straight out of the package or add your favorite mix-ins, spices, cheeses or condiments to create a dish that’s all your own! Do You Bake? has a huge variety of yummerlicious beer breads, scones, biscuits, brownies, seasonings and dip mixes. They even have all natural healthy dog treats that are really easy to whip up for your doggie friends. Those are next on my list to try now that I’m Gramma to a chocolate lab puppy named Charlotte “Charlie” Brown!  Best of all each mix is 100% natural and hand-packed using only fresh locally sourced ingredients.

I was Blessed to receive a Garden Vegetable Dill Cheeseball Mix, Cinnamon Melt-in-Your-Mouth Donuts Muffin Mix and Classic Beer Bread Mix for review.

My house is usually very busy on weekends. The girls are in and out, my nephew likes to stop by and the baby is almost always here. So I like to have snacks in the fridge that the gang can just grab when they’re hungry. The Garden Vegetable Cheeseball Mix is really a fun snack and can be dressed up to make a very festive appetizer! Just mix 2 tablespoons of hot water with the mix and let stand for a few minutes. Then mix in an 8 oz. package of softened cream cheese. Psst, you can use vegan ‘cream cheese’ too! Roll this into a ball or log (a ball is easier) and refrigerate for half an hour or so. To make it really festive, roll in chopped pecans! Oh, it’s tasty alright. Serve with whole wheat crackers and lots of fresh veggies!

The Cinnamon Melt-in-Your Mouth Donut Muffin Mix is super easy to make!  I am not a donut person at all!  My friends can tell you that I do not like donuts, but I do like muffins!  I created 12 warm cinnamon topped muffins that were a delicious welcome treat one recent Saturday morning.  In only 20 minutes the family was feasting on decadent, buttery, fresh, spicy muffins right out of the oven.  The taste was phenomenal and these muffins were huge and satisfying!

My favorite product was the Classic Beer Bread Mix!  Did I use beer?  Heck no!  That would be too easy and Lord knows I never do anything the easy way.  Ha!  Actually, I hate following recipes!  I love to improvise, so when I opened this mix and saw that you could add any carbonated beverage I added club soda, chives onions, shallots and garlic.  The mix says to drizzle the top with 2 tablespoons of melted butter or olive oil.  To be honest.  I use the best olive I can find and 1 tablespoon was all I needed.  The smell of this bread while it was baking wafted through the whole house.  My stomach was growling like mad and I couldn’t wait for Hubby the Hubster to get home so we could sample some!!  The taste was mouth watering and it made fabulous toast the next day!

Just add your favorite beer for a fabulous tasting beer bread. Mix and bake and you are ready to serve. Makes one large loaf.
