I was recently chosen as one of Girard’s Epicurean Experts! I was pretty honored! Being a vegetarian I don’t take that title lightly. I have a lot of help from Hubby the Hubster who has been working his magic in the garden! He’s quite the hoot that Hubby of mine. Each evening he goes out and tends the veggies and comes in with a basket of nature’s goodies. Lately we’ve been really blessed and he’s taken to filling his pockets with cucumbers that don’t fit in the basket. I have to keep myself from laughing when he whips two or three huge cukes out of each pocket and hands ‘em to me with a look of pride on that precious face seeking my approval! Well done Hubbs! I’ve been preparing Eggplant Parmesan, fresh salads and marinara sauce from scratch. It only seems fitting that I would want to top my veggies and salad with the most delicious dressing in the world, right?!
Girard’s is a premium quality line of dressings that was created in San Francisco by Chef Pierre Girard in 1939. Chef Girard started with a recipe for Original French dressing, and gradually added varieties. Girard’s dressings gained prominence for their premium quality and distinctive triangular bottle
I was Blessed to receive four new varieties of Girard’s Premium Salad Dressings for review. These included:
- Girard’s® Light Champagne Dressing ~ Sweet Pea’s favorite salad dressing in the whole world is the regular version. This one contains 65% less fat, but you will never miss it. The taste is fabulous and honestly, this dressing is always on my shopping list. Gluten-free and just 60 calories per serving!
- Girard’s® Olde Venice Italian Dressing ~ Hubby loves Italian Dressing. It’s the flavor he always goes back to and Girard’s is a cut above the rest. I have to tell you the truth. Usually I find Italian dressing boring. I’d rather just top my salads with balsamic vinegar, a dash of salt and fresh cracked pepper because most Italian dressings are oily and lack flavor. Not Girard’s! Old Venice Italian is garlicky, spicy and piquant! Just a drizzle on top of my garden fresh salads is all I need! This is one of the best Italian dressings I’ve ever tried.
- Girard’s® White Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing ~ There is something about the flavor of balsamic vinegar that I love. The sweet, tangy zip adds so much flavor to salads and veggies. Where have I been? I had no idea there was even such a thing as white balsamic vinegar! This salad dressing is a bit sweet and tangy and doesn’t impart a pink color that traditional balsamic dressings do. I like to top my steamed green beans with Girard’s® White Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing. They are just as delicious cold or tossed into salads!
- Girard’s® Greek Feta Vinaigrette Dressing ~ I make the best Greek salad, complete with hunks of feta cheese, pepperoncini peppers, sliced red onions, warm pita bread and dolma on the side! My Greek salads are huge and so delish, they’re a meal! How do I top ‘em? With Girard’s Greek Feta Vinaigrette Dressing! The taste is authentic and rich and worthy of Hubby’s home grown veggies!
Each variety of Girard’s Premium Salad Dressings have less sodium than before, and the White Balsamic Vinaigrette and Greek Feta Vinaigrette varieties contain no high fructose corn syrup. The wildly popular Girard’s Champagne Salad Dressing is now available in a light version which is fabulous as I could guzzle this straight from the bottle it is that sinfully delicious! Use theses dressings on salads or in recipes! Here’s one my family and I love!
