I was Blessed to receive a copy of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Slow Cooker Cooking, 2nd Edition by Ellen Brown for review.
ISBN 9781592576234

In this revised and expanded edition, award-winning author and chef Ellen Brown gives you all they need to know to make party appetizers such as spicy cheese fondue.Winter or summer I love my crockpot! Slow cooking is the hottest way to cook food! How convenient is it to toss a bunch of ingredients into the crockie in the morning and have a delicious, slow cooked meal waiting for you in the evening!? The possibilities are endless too! Soups , stews, casseroles and even yummerlicious desserts!

But I know I run out of ideas and recipes for the slow cooker so I was really excited when The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Slow Cooker Cooking, 2nd Edition arrived!  It contains over 250 recipes for all my family’s favorites from sauces to desserts.  Each recipe has little tips and tricks like ‘cooker caveats’ or ‘slow savvy’ which will help you create the perfect meal!

If you’re a beginner to slow cooking you are going to really appreciate the first part of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Slow Cooker Cooking.  You’ll learn which slow cooker is right for you, the rules of food safety and even how to adapt regular recipes for your slow cooker.  I’m going to be making French Onion Pizza in my slow cooker this weekend! The recipe is very easy, (I’m going to leave out the anchovy paste).  That is one of the many delicious recipes that are included in The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Slow Cooking, 2nd Edition!

Be sure to visit The Complete Idiot’s Guides and take a look at all their fun and informative books!
