My Derby Day Drink Is Pure Leaf Iced Tea!

Pure Leaf

Are you ready for Kentucky Derby 138?

I’m sorry to say I won’t be attending this year!  😉  I can’t say that I’ve ever attended but it is on my ever growing wish list of things to do! The Kentucky Derby is held each year in Louisville, Kentucky on the first Saturday in May which is the 5ththis year.  I’ll be watching the events on television and oohing and ahhing over the big hats which are just as much a tradition as the Mint Juleps: a sweet, frosty cold drink served track side which has quite a kick I’m told!  I’ll stick with my Pure Leaf Iced Tea. 🙂

I was Blessed to receive a few bottles of Pure Leaf Iced Tea for review courtesy of Mom Central Consulting for Lipton Pure Leaf.

I’ll be attending my daughter’s college graduation on May 5th and upon arriving home Hubby and I and possibly the whole gang will be watching the Kentucky Derby on television. We’ve been experiencing record breaking temperatures this week. So what could be more refreshing than an ice-cold glass of Pure Leaf Ice Tea? I decided to get fancy and create a special recipe in honor of the Kentucky Derby.

Millionaire’s Row Tea
This isn’t super sweet but it is very refreshing. Enjoy!

Made with Pure Leaf Tea

Pure Leaf Ice Tea is fresh brewed and features all-natural ingredients, no preservatives and no high-fructose corn syrup. Pure Leaf has introduced new environmentally friendly packaging which is really pretty neat.  Their new bottles are made from PET plastic which is lightweight, provides a high pallet efficiency and that means a lower carbon foot print!  Delicious tea, great for the earth!  It’s a win-win!
