I love flowers!  I love chocolate and yes I love candles but I recently had the pleasure of indulging in my first Margarita and it ranked right up there with deep, dark chocolate!  The night my bottle of Tequila Partida Blanco arrived and I wished myself an early “Happy Mother’s Day” I think Hubby was pretty darned happy he was married to me!  After all he got to enjoy a fabulous and might I add elegant Partida Margarita with me!

With four outstanding awards, Partida is meant to be sipped and savored. Gary Shansby, the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Partida was on to something when he created his Tequila in a soft-looking, curvy elegant bottle!  He wanted every woman to feel comfortable appreciating his fine Tequila!

So wrap up a bottle of Partida Blanco for the perfect margarita, Partida Reposado for an elegant drink to be savored slowly, or if you insist on the chocolates (because life without chocolate just isn’t as grand), its the perfect pairing with Partida Anejo or Extra Anejo Elegante.  Psst.. if you play your cards right I bet she shares with you!   I did!

Here is the drink Hubby and I shared the other night!  It was delicious.  Might I caution that one is more than enough for the evening and please drink these in the comfort of your lovely and comfortable home and then stay there!  No drinking and driving please.  This is one heck of a strong drink and after you indulge you have no business on the road.   Please drink responsibly!

PARTIDA MARGARITA

• 1½ oz Partida Blanco Tequila
• 1 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
• ¾ oz Partida Agave Nectar
• ¾ oz Water
• Shake all ingredients with ice in a shaker.
• Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or over fresh ice into an old-fashioned glass.
• Taste for balance.

Note: This is the variation of the Margarita Recipe made world famous by Julio Bermejo at Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco.
