Cheerios is now available in a convenient 2 Box Package!

From Toddler to Octogenarian, cereal lovers nationwide have been enjoying the contents of that sunny yellow box since 1941!  It’s true!  When I was a little girl Cheerios® in the yellow box was the only cereal that graced our breakfast table.  My mom was ahead of her time.  While the other kids in the neighborhood were chowing down on sugar-laden, artificially colored “monster cereals”, my twin and I were enjoying Cheerios®.

When my sister and I had children it’s what we fed our little ones.  It was My Little Guy’s first finger food!  He still loves ‘em as most kids do! I always stock up on Cheerios® when I visit my local Sam’s Club.  The big box is a really great bargain but I admit it’s a little bulky and storage is a pain in the buttinsky.  No more!  Cheerios® recently rolled out their new Cheerios® 2 box packages which are available exclusively at Costco, Sam’s Club and BJ’s nationwide.  The new packaging is not only a great buy for families like mine who eat a lot of cereal it’s eco-friendly!

I was Blessed to receive 4 Boxes of Cheerios in the new Eco-friendly “2-box packaging’” for review! Instead of one ginormous box, you receive two large boxes that separate easily after purchase. The new boxes are easier to pour, easier to store and because the boxes are smaller the contents stay fresher. The boxes are smaller but are 10% fuller because Cheerios has reduced the amount of air in each individual bag.  Pretty smart huh!

And because I’m always looking for ways to reduce my carbon foot print I love that Cheerios in the new 2 Box Cheerios Packaging is environmentally friendlier than before. The new 2 box Cheerios® 40.7oz package is better for the environment than the previous 37 oz box as it uses:

• Less air – the new 2 compact boxes combined fit more cereal than the previous package!
• Less material – packaging material has been reduced by over 200,000 lbs of paperboard, and saves 1,000 trees per year!
• Fewer trucks –more boxes fit on each truck, which takes 130 trucks off the road each year and reduces CO2 emissions!
