It seems everyone in my home is plagued with sensitive skin. Hubby the Hubster has a severe case of psoriasis. He uses caution when he purchases everything from shave cream to shampoo. My older daughter developed a rash on her feet when she was pregnant that will not go away. Heat makes it worse and so do certain fabrics. My younger daughter battles eczema, a condition that causes her skin to be very dry, sensitive and itchy. And I have a condition known as Idiopathic Urticaria. My skin is dry and itchy and for some unknown reason I break out in hives from head to toe and itch like a banshee at the most inconvenient times. So you can see I must choose my laundry detergent with care. Plain old, unscented laundry detergents were my only alternative until I was introduced to Arm & Hammer Liquid Laundry Detergent Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Formula! My laundry isn’t just clean now; it smells like a spring day!
I was Blessed to receive Arm & Hammer’s new Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry Detergent courtesy of Mom Central on behalf of Arm & Hammer for review.
I’m a nut about keeping my family’s clothing clean and stain free, like most moms. Buying new clothes each time a shirt or pair of pants gets a stain simply isn’t an option for me. So my detergent has to be powerful enough to remove Georgia red clay from Hubby’s shorts and pants, food stains from My Little Guy’s bibs and shirts, Make-up stains from my clothing and sweaty grime from Sweat Pea’s running clothes (pewww!)
Every single detergent I’ve used for sensitive skin until now has been unscented. My children’s pediatrician and my doctor even recommended a sensitive skin formula detergent, so that is what I purchased since the kids were toddlers. Our clothes were clean, but they emerged from the dryer smelling ‘neutral’. For years my daughter begged me to buy fancy scented detergents because she wanted her clothes to “smell nice” but of course I couldn’t. On occasion when I received a sample in them mail or at the store and tried a regular detergent we would all suffer the consequences of my foolish transgression.
Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry Detergent is dye-free which is my favorite feature in addition to that great scent! I’m allergic to certain green dyes! The formula has been designed especially for sensitive skin and can be used in both standard washers like mine or High Efficiency (HE) washing machines. Last Friday was wash day and I did about six loads of wash with Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry Detergent. The fragrance is so pretty. Its clean, fresh scent reminds me of a spring day! I washed everything from socks and undergarments to sheets & towels. The clothes were left clean, bright and smelling fresh.
My daughter who does her own laundry most of the time noticed how terrific her clothes smelled and no one experienced any itching, irritated skin or hives from the Arm & Hammer Liquid Laundry Detergent Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Formula. It’s so nice to slip between lightly scented sheets at night and all of our clothing is lightly fragranced which makes my kiddo very happy! Hubby didn’t notice a difference, but I didn’t think he would. That’s a man for you!
I am extremely pleased with the performance of Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry Detergent. It gets my laundry clean, removes tough stains, eliminates stinky odors from my daughter’s running clothes and leaves all the clothes smelling spring-time fresh. I finally found a laundry detergent that makes everyone in the house happy!
