I’ve been a fan of Whole Foods Market for years! Hubby and I make the trip to Whole Foods about once a month and stock up on fruits, veggies and lots of vegetarian products my local grocery store doesn’t stock. It’s always fun to check out their seasonal items too!
Hubby and I have a trip to Whole Foods planned for this next week-end. The temperature here in Georgia is already scorching but I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve thanks to my pals at Whole Foods Market! They’ve got the coolest treats to help me and my family avoid a dreaded melt down! Below you’ll find a few of my favorite picks that sing summer to my heart ‘n soul!
We all scream for Whole Foods 365 Everyday Value™ Ice Cream!
Hubby loves to end a sizzling hot day with a scoop or two of 365 Everyday Value™ Ice Cream. His Favorite is the Mint Chocolate Chip which he mounds to the top of his bowl! I love the Summer Peach which is fresh and creamy and just screams summer!
- Summer Peach- Out just in time for the summer, this fresh flavor turns our favorite seasonal fruit into a deliciously cool treat.
- Cocoa Cherry Chunk- Blending pieces of plump cherries with bits of chocolate, you’ll want to stock up on this summer flavor while you can.
- Mint Chocolate Chip- This cooling and light peppermint ice cream is filled with rich and delicious slivers of chocolate crunch.
- Cookies & Cream- Bits of rich cookie bites loaded into a sweet and creamy vanilla background make this the perfect spoonful.
- Rocky Road- Rich chocolate swirls with fresh almonds and tiny chunks of marshmallow inevitably make this flavor an instant classic.

Summer Coolers made easy with Whole Foods Italian Sodas
Nothing says simple summer entertaining like a fun mocktail made from Whole Foods Market Italian Sodas which come in a variety of flavors like Pink Grapefruit, Tangerine, Cranberry and more. And who doesn’t love fresh icy cold watermelon? The Watermelon Lemonade mocktail below is the ideal summer cooler! Be sure to taste the watermelon first. If it’s very sweet, reduce the sugar.
Watermelon Lemonade
Serves 16
- 6 cups 1-inch cubes seedless watermelon (from about a 5-pound melon)
- 1 bottle (10-ounce) 365 Everyday Value® Organic Lemon Juice
- 6 cups water
- ¾ cup cane sugar
- Crushed ice
- Mint sprigs, for garnish
Directions
Working in batches as necessary, purée watermelon and lemon juice in blender until smooth; transfer to a large container. Add water and sugar; stir until dissolved. Pour over ice in tall glasses, garnish with mint and thin slices of watermelon, if desired, and serve.
Many summer mornings at my house begin with a frosty smoothie!
It’s just too hot for a big, hot lumberjack breakfast. The secret to making my smoothies thick and delicious is using 365 Everyday Value organic frozen fruits instead of ice! Whole Foods Market offers Berry Blend, Mango Chunks and Sliced Peaches (just to name a few). EARTH University frozen bananas and pineapple are another tasty choice; they’re ethically sourced and support a great cause! Profits from all EARTH University products help to fund student scholarships, as well as finance research and investment in sustainable agricultural production.
Bored with the same old smoothie? Then give these recipes a whirl. No need to thaw the fruit just toss in the blender and you’re on your way to yummm….
