Hey Shuga! and Lil’ Shuga! Prove that The Sweetest Things in Life Are All-Natural!
Life is sweet! Shouldn’t the sweetener you use for your coffee, tea, cereal and other foods and beverages be just as sweet and natural too! I found a sweetener that I’m in love with! All-natural Caribbean Liquid Sugar is a pure liquid sugar that’s 100% USDA organic, gluten-free, GMO free, vegan, kosher and preservative free. “Hey Shuga!” is a pure sugar cane syrup and “Lil’ Shuga!” is a blend of both cane sugar and Stevia. The great thing about these little darlings is that they’re pourable! They blend effortlessly into iced teas and coffees! They can be used in place of pancake syrups, and I even use them in my baking!
I was Blessed to receive bottles of Hey Shuga! & Lil’ Shuga! for review. Hubby’s been using the Hey Shuga! And I’ve latched onto the ‘five calorie per serving’ Lil’ Shuga! Both are all-natural and both are sweet and delicious. Hey Shuga! is a 100% organic sugar cane syrup. Imagine a liquid sweetener that’s just as convenient and easier to pour than honey and you’ve got Hey Shuga! Caribbean Liquid Sugar prepares “Hey Shuga!” and “Lil’ Shuga!” organically through a delicate, proprietary, natural and enzymatic process that bio-mimics the one bees use to produce honey naturally.
Hubby is always rushing in the mornings so he adds about a tsp. of Hey Shuga! into the bottom of his travel mug (he doesn’t like his coffee super sweet) and pours his coffee right on top. There’s no stirring! Hey Shuga! mixes right in. Hey Shuga adds a yummy sweetness to waffles, pancakes and French toast and can be used wherever you normally use sugar.
If you’re counting calories like me but hate to use artificial sweeteners you must give Lil’ Shuga! a whirl! Lil’ Shuga! is a natural blend of stevia leaf extract and cane sugar. The result is a delicious blend that is two times as sweet as sugar, allowing you to use less for the same amount of sweetness. There’s no bitter aftertaste and its chemical free!
Unlike most low calorie sweeteners Lil’ Shuga! (and Hey Shuga! can be used in baking!) Professional bakeries love “Hey Shuga!” because it takes approximately 30% less time to bake. The baking community reports their baked goods taste better, stay fresh longer, have better texture, and show superior browning.
I have a single serve coffee brewer and about 3 pm I like to make an iced coffee. I add 1/3 tsp. Lil’ Shuga! and some low-fat almond milk to my French Vanilla Iced Coffee. The taste is really yummy and the calorie count is really low. Now when I make a pitcher of iced tea I leave it unsweetened. Hubby sweetens his with Hey Shuga! and I sweeten mine with Lil’ Shuga!

There was no different types of Shuga only recipes that I could find. I have never tried. Not sure how it compares to Maple Syrup. But I do not like Maple flavor. I have a feeling this will not be like that. So I am happy:)
I’d love to try Hey Shuga!
