My Little Guy is at the age where he’s just beginning to read!  I almost can’t believe it myself but he’ll be three in the fall and the little rascal already knows the entire alphabet.  It’s amazing to me that he’s sight reading words.  I know my girls did at this age too but the rate at which children learn still astounds me!  My Little Guy already knows all the letters in his name and loves to see it spelled out on his toys.  I’m not too keen on him wearing his name on clothing out in public.  I believe that poses a certain risk as far as child predators go.  But toys, books, puzzles and stickers… oh my!  He goes wild when he sees his name spelled out on products like those.  The problem is… he has a very unusual name!  So finding personalized gifts for him is never easy!  That’s why it was so much fun when I found Frecklebox!

After searching the Frecklebox website (their ‘stuff’ is so darned cute) I was Blessed to receive one of their personalized lunch boxes & personalized placemats for review.

Frecklebox Personalized Lunch Boxes are just about the sturdiest lunch boxes I’ve seen in ages.  They aren’t the plastic types available in the supercenters.  No ma’am!  These full-size and personalized I might add lunch boxes are made of .30 millimeter tin (lead free) and covered with printed, laminated high-tack adhesive on all sides.  And the neat thing is they have a chalkboard on the inside lid so you can leave your little charmer a happy face or a cute note.

My Little Guy loves race cars so I decided on the Race Car Lunch Box for him! When he saw it he actually jumped up and down and wanted to stash his little cars in there so he could tote them around.  (Not a bad idea actually!)  After a few days I was able to steal his lunch box away and he’ll be using it to take his lunch to pre-school in the fall!  I know he’ll be excited about that!  Size – 7-5/8″ x 6-3/4″ x 4″.  Price ~ $29.95

How do you make meals extra special for a toddler?  Of course you serve mini-size foods, with dipping sauces, serve their meals on kid-sized plates but until Frecklebox came along I never even considered a placemat.

My Little Guy is now living with us and he’s adjusting to eating lots of healthy fruits and veggies!  He’s resisted a little but meal times are starting to get a little easier.  When I served him dinner on his Personalized Race Car Placemat he was eager to sit at the table and eat his food.  Dinner was enjoyable for everyone because My Little Guy was involved with his food and his placemat!

Each personalized placemat is printed in color on 100# gloss cover with 5 mil lamination on each side. All edges are round-cornered for safe handling. Finish size is 11.5″ x 17.5″.  The colors are bright, bold and cheery and make for a fun eating experience!  The placemat wipes clean with warm, soapy water or a spritz of glass cleaner.  This is truly the best $10 I’ve spent in quite a while!  Meal times are quieter, fun and not so much of a struggle any more.  I would never have thought a placemat could distract My Little Guy and allow us all to enjoy meals more!  Thank you Frecklebox!!
