I’m a tea lover and I bet you are too. I drink hot tea year ‘round because I’m so cold natured. It’s a great way to start the day and a soothing way to wind down at night. When I made tea in the past I always brewed a whole pot because I usually drink a big mug full. But I usually can’t drink the whole pot and wind up wasting a lot. That’s why I love the Libre tea glass. The thing I love about the loose leaf tea glass is I brew my tea right in the cup drink it from! There’s no pot to clean!

I was Blessed to receive a Libre Large Loose Leaf Tea Glass for review.
I’ve wanted a Libre Tea Glass for ages for a few reasons. I drink a huge cup of loose leaf tea a few nights a week. I like to savor that cup. With the Libre Tea Glass my tea stays hot down to the last tasty mouthful. My tea moments are when I’m able to relax, unwind and reflect on my day and what I need to do to prepare for tomorrow (and yes sometimes I simply sit on the deck and watch the sunset! How ’bout that!
)
In the car or when I’m out and about the Libre tea glass is the convenient way for me to enjoy loose leaf tea on the go. And that gives me options that I just don’t have with tea bags. I have a shelf full of loose leaf teas I brew and enjoy. But when I’m on the run and want a cup of tea I never brew it. Now it’s easy to grab my 14 oz Libre Loose Leaf Tea Glass and brew the tea right in the cup as I’m walking out the door! No waiting, no hassles and the outside of my cup stays cool to the touch.
The Libre Large Loose Leaf Tea Glass can be used two ways to brew and travel with loose leaf tea – tea in the tea glass or tea on top of the twist off filter. The video below demonstrates both ways.
How to Use Your Libre Tea Glass
How to use your Libre Tea Glass – 2 Ways
#1 – For teas in the glass
- Step 1 – remove lid and tea filter, add 2-3 grams of loose- leaf tea to the glass.
- Step 2 – filter, add hot water and allow the tea to steep.
*Steam Advisory – Use Caution With Boiling Water – Allow Time For Steam To Dissipate Prior To Twisting On Lid – STEAM PRESSURE MAY CAUSE LEAKS
#2 – For teas with limited steeping times
- Step 1- Remove the lid and filter; carefully add hot water to below the rim of the tea glass. Twist the filter on securely; add 2 -3 grams of loose- leaf tea on top of the filter. Wait 2-3 minutes prior to twisting on lid so steam pressure does not force a leak upon inverting.
- Step 2 – After a brief cool down period, twist on the lid securely and slowly turn the glass upside down to steep the tea.
- Step 3 – Twist off the lid and filter together. Enjoy. (Note: spent tea leaves remain in the filter and can be reused)

All Libre surfaces that make contact with hot tea are BPA-free, and the double-wall construction keeps tea hot or cold and comfortable to hold. The tea glasses come with a removable, easy to clean, stainless steel tea filter. Libre tea glasses are should be hand washed and are not microwave safe. The Libre tea glass collection includes the Original (9 oz), the Libre Large (14 oz) and the easy to hold Libre Mug (10 oz). All products retail at between $25 and $33 CDN.
