Chia It’s Perfectly Natural Nutrition!
Since the times of the Mayans and Aztecs, chia has been considered a superfood. Those little seeds we’ve all come to know and love from that now famous holiday commercial featuring the little clay pets are now the latest rage in the food industry and with good reason!
Being a vegetarian I’m always looking for ways to increase omega-3 in my diet since I don’t eat fish. Chia among its other nutrients contains 2x more omega-3 ALA than walnuts. Native to Central and South America, the chia seed, with its benefits of essential nutrients and high fiber, has been rediscovered by people seeking healthier food options. That’s one of the reasons my pantry is fully stocked with chia products and chia seeds!
The seeds can be blended into smoothies, sprinkled over salads, casseroles and stir fry dishes and chia seeds can even be used as an egg or flour substitute in many recipes.
DOLE® Nutrition Plus™ recently introduced a whole line of nutritious and delicious milled and whole chia seeds and Chia and Fruit Clusters. I used to have to go to my local health food store to find chia and chia products. These superfood products are located conveniently right in the store where I do my regular grocery shopping!
I was Blessed to receive all three varieties of DOLE Nutrition Plus Chia & Fruit Clusters for review.
We love to snack like most families but I’m always looking for healthier more nutritious products for my family to eat at snack time. Fruits and veggies are always a great snack but for a little variety and lots of extra nutrition DOLE Nutrition Plus Chia & Fruit Clusters make a super addition to lunchboxes, afternoon snacks and evening nibbles!

A single serving of DOLE Nutrition Plus Chia & Fruit Clusters contains 11g of whole grains with 10% daily value of vitamin C antioxidants. In addition, one yummy serving of Chia & Fruit Clusters provides 2 grams of protein and a variety of nutrients to keep my family going strong throughout their busy day!
DOLE Nutrition Plus Chia & Fruit Clusters are a lightly sweet, crunchy snack that satisfies the urge to munch when your sweet tooth starts calling. My Little Guy always has a snack when he wakes up from his afternoon nap. These are perfect for him! They’re bite-sized and packed with nutrition and if we’re on the run we can toss ‘em in a to-go container and run out the door!

DOLE Nutrition Plus Chia & Fruit Clusters are available in Mixed Berry, Apple Cranberry and Tropical Fruit Flavors for a suggested retail price of $4.99 per 4 oz. bag and can be purchased at these retailers in your neighborhood.
