When I think about the neatest gifts I’ve received from friends and family most of them are food gifts.  I send lots of food baskets and gifts and I wind up spending lots of time visiting dozens of websites trying to find the perfect gift.  It would be nice if I could visit one website and shop for all the foodies in my life in one place?  Now I can.  I found Goodies for Gifts!

I was Blessed to receive a Dockside Market Key Lime Cake for review.

About 10 years ago I visited the Florida Keys.  That was when I fell in love with key limes.  Dockside Market has been creating their magical citrus-infused Key Lime Cakes for over thirty years.  It’s their original recipe and best seller!  One bite will transport you to paradise! Why heat up the oven?  Let Dockside Market bake you the perfect summer time cake!  The Dockside Market Key Lime Cake is the perfect combination of sweet, tart and zesty.  It’s made with 100% all natural key lime juice and it’s so fresh and moist.

I received my key lime cake and placed it in the refrigerator.  The cake will stay fresh for up to 8 weeks so don’t worry if you’re not going to eat it right away.  Cake can be frozen up to 6 months.  Needless to say my cake didn’t last 8 weeks.   It didn’t last 6 hours.  I had family and friends over the day it arrived and we had the Dockside Market Key Lime Bundt Cake for dessert.  Every single person had two slices!  I’d say it was a huge hit!

There’s no preparation and no baking.  Just remove from the package and serve.  I dusted the cake lightly with powdered sugar just to make it look pretty but who am I kidding?  It didn’t need it.  The cake stands on its own.  It slices beautifully and you get the taste of tart key lime in every bite.  Key Lime Cake weighs a hefty 1 pound 8 oz and serves 10 easily!  It would be yummy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream!  But we enjoyed our Key Lime Cake plain.  Yummerlicious!  Price ~ $19.50.
