Gather ‘Round The HERSHEY’S CAMP BONDFIRE For S’mores
After a yummy meal cooked on the grill what better way to end the day than with everyone’s favorite summertime treat; S’mores! Betcha didn’t know that the first S’mores recipe was published in the Girl Scouts handbook in 1927. 85 years later they’re still a treat we can’t resist! Made from pure Hershey’s® Milk Chocolate, crispy graham crackers and ooeey gooey toasted marshmallows, who doesn’t enjoy bonding, and making these summer time goodies over the open campfire, grill or barbeque?
This summer Hershey’s is inviting families to gather ’round the virtual fire at Camp Bondfire™ an interactive application on the Hershey’s Facebook page where families will find new ways to “bond” around the campfire and create “some more” memories all summer long! Camp Bondfire offers different tips, activities and stories each week focusing on a different theme. Hershey’s is partnering with The Motherhood, an award-winning web community of influential bloggers and a few of my favorites are serving as Camp Counselors! So I’m checking in regularly to see what each one is dishing up! When you register to be a ‘Camper of the Week’ you’ll be entered for a chance to win an outdoor fire pit and S’mores skewer set!
I was Blessed to receive all the fixin’s for my own HERSHEY’S CAMP BONDFIRE so I could create some memories with my nutty family! While I’d love to say I have a “Norman Rockwell” Family we are far from it! After dinner we got our s’mores ingredients ready and I thought we would have a fun, peaceful time over the “HERSHEY’S CAMP BONDFIRE”! Fun yes! Peaceful? Far from it! First the dog ran away! Then we argued for 15 minutes over the best way to prepare ‘smores. Then while arguing my first s’mores burned.

As you can see we did have a great time and made some delicious Hershey’s S’mores. (I should have let the boys use filthy sticks to make their s’mores!)
Remember to stop by the Hershey’s Facebook Page and visit Camp Bondfire! While you’re there share your own S’mores memories and upload your pictures to the Fireside Memory Book, I did! And don’t forget to snag your $1 off coupon toward your next purchase of two six-packs of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars while supplies last!
