Nesco Portable Induction Cooktop {Rafflecopter Giveaway}

Nesco Portable Induction Cooktop {Rafflecopter Giveaway}

Nesco has a whole line of small kitchen appliances, including a Portable Induction Cooktop that will make cooking easy peasy!

My home was built in 1998 and I have a gas stovetop.  I’ve seen and lusted after an induction cooktop for years.  What first caught my eye was their beautiful, modern appearance.  And after reading up on them I realized they were easy to clean, energy efficient and provided rapid heating with no flame.  Of course we couldn’t afford to replace our stovetop with an induction cooktop so whenever I saw one in a magazine or visited a home with one I was pea green with envy.

But a few weeks ago I came across the Nesco Portable Induction Cooktop which has all the features of a full size induction cooktop at a fraction of the cost.  Knowing what I do about Nesco and the quality of their products I knew this was going to be a fabulous item.  All of my small appliances from Nesco have far surpassed my expectations!  My sister who has become a great cook always remarks on how neat my Nesco cookware is and how versatile their products are.  And that’s important to me.  Nesco makes quality, affordable items that fit my lifestyle!  They’re products I use all the time because quite simply they work!

I was Blessed to receive a Portable Induction Cooktop for review.

The Nesco® Portable Induction Cooktop is user friendly and energy efficient.

Don’t worry if you know nothing about induction cooktops, the Nesco Portable Induction Cooktop is a very simple appliance to operate.  There’s no flame or electric coil to deal with.  An electric current passes through the induction coil beneath the surface of the cooktop which creates an electromagnetic field.  The electromagnetic field generates heat directly into ferrous metal cookware placed on the cooktop, bypassing the glass surface. Your pan gets hot but the ceramic cooktop doesn’t.   Yep, the cooktop stays cool.

A magnet is included with the Nesco Portable Induction Cooktop so you can test your cookware to determine if it will work with the cooktop. Suitable cookware for Induction cooking is made of ferric materials like cast iron, carbon steel and magnetic stainless steel – but not glass, solid copper or aluminum.  Use the included NESCO magnet to determine if your cookware will work. IF IT STICKS TO THE BOTTOM! – IT WORKS!

The Nesco Portable Induction Cooktop is 36% more efficient than gas stoves and 13% more efficient than electric stoves.  It’s great choice for those of us who are trying to “go green”.  The Induction Cooktop features five different cooking modes with instant temperature adjustments.  Because the induction cooktop is made of smooth, ceramic glass it’s a breeze to clean with a damp cloth and warm water.

Cooking Mode Settings

  • Melt/Warm
  • Simmer
  • Boil
  • Fry
  • Sear
Here’s a video demonstration of the Nesco Portable Induction Cooktop in action

The Nesco Portable Induction Cooktop is perfect for any home!  It can be used in dorms, RV’s, apartments and even outdoors. It’s a must have for the holidays too!  It’s lightweight, portable and easy to clean so it’s a joy to use!  I like using the induction cooktop on the deck.  I can prepare an elegant dessert or a quickie side dish while hubby is grilling all without heating up the kitchen!

    I love my Nesco dehydrator and had no idea they had a portable induction cooktop. I could really use one of these in my current kitchen since I only have 2 burners. Ultimately I’d like a permanent induction cooktop, but they seem a bit out of my price range.

    Okay, I must be extra dense today because I don’t see the form where we sign up in win the induction cooktop.
