Did you skip breakfast or worse yet grab a donut on the way to work this morning? We wouldn’t let the kids walk out the door on an empty stomach but I bet many of us don’t think twice about running out the door with just a cup of coffee. Shame on us! A nutritious breakfast is important no matter how old you are. Whole Foods Market has a variety of tasty, easy to prepare breakfast items that can be eaten at home or packed and eaten at your desk!
I was Blessed to receive a few breakfast items from my friends at Whole Foods Market for review.
In addition to Whole Foods Market’s huge selection of fresh fruits, dairy & soy yogurts, cheeses, nut butters, organic eggs and yummy vegetarian breakfast sausages and tempeh they also have lots healthy cereals and non-dairy milk alternatives! I’d say these are all a great way to start the day! When Hubby and I make our monthly pilgrimage to Whole Foods Market our shopping cart is overflowing with ‘quickie’ breakfast items for My Little Guy and a few treats for the weekend when breakfasts aren’t so rushed!
- Organic Banana Bread Love Crunch Granola from Nature’s Path is one of our favorite granolas! The baby can polish off a bag of this granola in a week. He eats it right out of the bag but his favorite way to enjoy Love Crunch is sprinkled on his yogurt. When you open the zip top bag you’ll notice right away how different Love Crunch Granola is. The chunks are huge and this granola is fresh! Organic Banana Bread Love Crunch Granola is made with real, ripe bananas and Fair Trade milk chocolate. The taste is absolutely scrumptious! For each bag of Love Crunch sold, Nature’s Path will donate the equivalent in cereal or cash (up to $1 million) to food banks. Man I love a company that’s socially minded. And if you really dig the Banana Bread Love Crunch there are five other flavors to try including the new Organic Gingerbread Love Crunch Granola! Yum! Price ~ $4.99 per 11.5 oz bag.
- If you’re looking for a dairy-free ‘milk’ to pour over your Love Crunch Granola you’ve got to try Sunflower Dream Sunflower Drink! This product was brand new to me and I was dying to try it. I’m not sure why but I thought Sunflower Dream Sunflower Drink was going to be loaded with fat and calories. Boy was I wrong. Creamy, smooth Sunflower Dream Sunflower Drink which is available in sweetened and unsweetened contains 70 and 45 calories respectively with 4 grams of fat per 1 cup serving. Plus Sunflower Dream Sunflower Drink is rich in Calcium, Vitamin A, D and E and Folic Acid. Cholesterol-free Sunflower Dream Non-Dairy Sunflower Drink is made from all natural sunflower seeds. It’s gluten-free, lactose-free and kosher and 100% vegetarian! Price ~ $2.99.
