Daiya Deliciously Dairy-Free Vegan Cheese {Rafflecopter Giveaway}

Giveaway -Daiya
I’ve been a vegetarian for over 30 years, many of those years I was a vegan.  The only food I missed when I was not eating dairy was cheese.  Cheese not only tastes great on it’s own, it adds flavor, saltiness and texture to sammies.  It’s also prized for it’s ability to melt, stretch and add delectable goodness to casseroles, pasta dishes and of course one of my favorite foods, pizza!  You don’t have to give up cheese!  Whether you’re a vegan, or you suffer from dairy allergies or you have other allergies that prevent you from enjoying dairy products.  I found Daiya Vegan Cheese and it is absolutely delicious!

I was Blessed to receive a few coupons for Daiya Cheese for review.

I wasn’t quit sure what to expect when I went in search of Daiya Cheese.  I took my coupons and went to my local Kroger and sure enough they had a few Daiya products!  I chose their Cheddar Style Wedges and Jalapeno Garlic Havarti Style Wedges.  They also carry Daiya Mozzarella Style Shreds but I don’t plan on making any Italian style dishes this week so I’ll be trying that later.

Daiya cheese is out of this world!  I was awed by the taste, texture and quality of Daiya.  I’m a grilled cheese sammie lover so I figured that would be the test to see how good Daiya really is.  If a dairy-free cheese tastes great on a simple grilled cheese you know it’s good, right?  I’m back to my old tricks so I hauled out the light bread (I know fancy, schmancy bread would have been tastier but this butt of mine isn’t getting any narrower so I count calories where I can) and topped my sammie with a slice or two of veggie ham and some spicy jelly and proceed to the stove to grill my sandwich.  Daiya cheese really does melt folks!

I took one bite and had to call my vegan friend Roxanne who was the one who actually told me about Daiya Cheese!  We spent more than 15 minutes on the phone gushing about the merits and virtues of this incredible product while I wolfed my sandwich down then licked my fingers and pondered what my next Daiya ‘adventure’ would be! 🙂

Daiya Cheese melts, tastes and can be used like real dairy cheese! It's delicious!

Daiya products are free of dairy, soy, gluten, eggs, rice, peanuts and tree nuts (except coconut oil).  You don’t have to worry about cross-contamination with allergens because Daiya products are made in Daiya’s own production facility, which also makes their cheeses 100% vegan.  Daiya products contain no artificial ingredients or preservatives.  They’re hormone, antibiotic and trans-fat free. And they’re Kosher Pareve.  What are you waiting for?  Dig in and enjoy!

Enjoy Daiya Vegan Cheese in two products styles

Daiya Cheese Wedges are available in Cheddar, Jack and Jalapeno Garlic Havarti flavors.  These cheeses are great for sandwiches, snacking and adding to recipes and salads.  Daiya Shreds are ideal for tacos, pizza, casseroles and are yummy sprinkled over soups and salads!  They are available in Cheddar, Mozzarella and Pepperjack.

Be sure to stop by Daiya and check out their yummy recipes!  I’ll be making Kickin’ Cornbread this weekend which features Daiya Jalapeno Garlic Havarti style wedge.

    I would love to try the shreds because my son went vegetarian 6 yrs ago and now at 16 he went vegan. One thing he really misses is cheese nachos, eggplant parm, pizza etc. This looks amazing and even if I don’t win I’m going to try it. Thanks! he eats the rice cheese now but it feels like plastic LOL!

      Daiya really is a vegan’s dream come true, at least for those who miss cheese! the Garlic Havarti block kind is sublime! I like the Mozzarella shreds to make just about everything; enchiladas, grilled cheese, nachos, pizza, etc.

    since altering my diet to be more predominantly plant-based, the thing i have missed the most is a good old grilled cheese (my favorite version has kimchi in it!). would LOVE to try this with the daiya havarti or jack.
