Old El Paso Stand ‘N Stuff Soft Flour Tortillas Gift Pack Giveaway

I like soft flour tortillas and the rest of my family enjoys hard shell tacos. As delicious as hard shell tacos are I find them difficult to eat and kind of messy. My Little Guy likes ‘em but the minute he bites into one it falls apart. Anyone who dines with a three year-old knows that a crumbling taco is something a parent wants to avoid at all costs lest ye face the dreaded meltdown. Old El Paso to the rescue!

Old El Paso products are convenient and help dinner fun.

Old El Paso Gift Pack Giveaway

Stand ‘N Stuff Tortillas are a delicious and neat way to enjoy Mexican Food.  Instead of the traditional flat shape of a regular tortilla these shelf stable, ready to use tortillas are ‘boat’ shaped’.  They can be heated in either the microwave or oven then filled with seasoned chicken, beef or faux veggie meat.  There’s no spilling or messes and no breaking taco shells!

Old El Paso Mexican Cooking Sauces

New Mexican Cooking Sauces are rich, easy-to-use sauces you add to fully cooked chicken, meat, faux meats and veggies to create incredibly tasty tacos in minutes. They’re perfectly seasoned and require almost no prep or cooking other than simmering. The Roasted Tomato sauce mixed with veggie-style ground meat is a fabulous taco and burrito filling.  They’re also great for fajitas, dips, soups and stews.  Other flavors include: Chipotle and Chile & Roasted Garlic.

It’s good to have a variety of people and a variety of foods. I’m rather simple when it comes to preparing Mexican. I use the vegetarian refried beans. Put them in a shallow sauce pan, chop sweet onion and pat down into the top of the beans, top with grated cheese. Then I cover I heat very, very slowly. It heats through. The onions are crispy. The cheese is melted. I serve this with MILD El Paso mix used with deer meat (my son is a wonderful hunter). I usually simply put the meat mixture over a plate of salad with the refried beans on the side. Wonderful with chips.

I’d love to try those new cooking sauces. We have Taco Thursday in our house most weeks, but occasionally I like to mix it up and do enchiladas instead. Those cooking sauces sound *perfect* for enchiladas! Even if I don’t win the gift pack, I hope there’ll be some coupons out to try this fantastic sounding new product.

I would like to try the Crunchy Fish Tacos. My oldest son keeps telling me how great fish tacos are. I have never tried them. I have been having a hard time wrapping my mind around putting fish in a taco. I think I would top it with the new Chipotle Sauce. I like spicy! Thank you for the giveaway. This looks like a great kit!

The best tacos I’ve ever had is when you fry the flour tortillas and then add all your ingredients. Cooked in oil for just a few minutes so that you can still fold the tortillas.
