Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q Prize Package Giveaway

Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q provided a product for this Review & Giveaway.  I was not required to write a positive review.  The opinions I have expressed are my own.  I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

Stubb’s sauces, marinades and rubs were created by Texas King of Blues & Barbecue C.B. “Stubb” Stubblefield when he opened his first restaurant in Lubbock in 1968.  Today, Austin-based Stubb’s continues to take inspiration from his original recipes and strict quality standards to create all-natural, certified gluten-free sauces, rubs and marinades, and every bottle is still made with Stubb’s secret ingredient, “Love and Happiness.”

If you know anything about me you know I like my food highly seasoned.  That’s not to say my food has to be tongue scalding or so salty its like brine.  I like heat and spice on my food but without flavor heat alone isn’t gonna cut it for me.  I’m also a sucker for Bar-B-Q.  I don’t care where you come from and I’m not one to choose sides about whose Barbecue is better ‘n whose.  I just know what I like and Stubb’s Legendary Bar-B-Q is one of my favorites!

I was Blessed to receive a variety of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Products for Review

It’s Hatch Chile Season in both New Mexico and Georgia (my stomping ground) and in tribute Stubb’s recently introduced their Green Chile Marinade.  This flavorful marinade contains a spicy, zesty mix of hatch green chiles, green chiles, pineapple juice, garlic, lime and spices.  The longer you marinade meat, chicken, fish and veggies the richer the flavor becomes.  I love this marinade as a seasoning on veggie burgers and veggie faux meats.  I just brush it on right before grilling.  It adds a ton of flavor with next to no calories.

Stubb’s Pork Marinade is not just for Pork

I was a little nervous about this one.  I always read labels; you never know what you’re going to find in condiments.  From gelatin to anchovies, this vegetarian has seen it all.  So I wanted to make sure Pork Marinade was vegetarian before I soaked my veggies in it.  It is!  And the flavor is sheer heaven.  It’s great for creating an Asian inspired flair in all kinds of dishes from chicken to veggies to pork.  Stubb’s Pork Marinade is nice and thick and clings to food as it’s marinating.  It’s the marinade I recommend for grilling!

Sweet Pea and I love Bar-B-Q Sauce, the spicier the better.  If you agree you have to try Stubb’s Sweet Heat. Sweet Heat Barbecue Sauce is blended with molasses and brown sugar but it’s not overly sweet like most I’ve tried.  To round out the flavor this Bar-B-Q Sauce is mixed with just the right amount of chipotle peppers and spices.  The taste is lip smacking.  Sweet Heat is great for basting as you barbeque, marinating, dipping and recipes.  Buy a few bottles and put on one the table at any meal!  It’s so much better than ketchup!

Stubb’s Rubs Flavor Your Grub

Bar-B-Q Rubs

Hubby likes his steaks unadulterated.  If you’re a purist and shy away from sauces and marinades Stubb’s Rubs are the way to go.  Stubb’s all natural, gluten-free Rubs add lots of flavor without detracting from the natural flavor of food.  Steak Spice Rub is a simple dried blend of Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic, Ancho Chile and Spices.  Its nice and chunky so doesn’t disappear into meat.  Sprinkle liberally on any cut of meat about 30 minutes prior to grilling and rub on a little extra right before cooking.  Steak Spice Rub is also wonderful sprinkled on baked potatoes!

And last but not least, Bar-B-Q Spice Rub, which I sprinkle on just about everything.  It’s savory, zesty, spicy and smoky.  It can be used on foods before cooking and served alongside dishes right at the table.  It’s delicious sprinkled on roasted corn on the cob!
