Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating (SSHE) is a family-owned, Illinois-based company recognized for dedication to convenient, healthy eating, since 1985.  SSHE takes the guesswork out of portion control and calorie counting by offering complete, freshly prepared 1200 and 2000-calorie (per day) traditional meal plans plus a 1500-calorie vegetarian plan.  I’m not talking about, frozen meals full of additives, preservatives and sodium.  Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating provides fresh meals that are chock full of vegetables, fruits and healthy grains.  And they taste delicious!

I was a little hesitant about trying the Vegetarian Meal Plan at first but my fears were quickly put to rest.  I’ve got a huge appetite and I’m not ashamed to admit it.  I eat a lot of fruits and veggies and cook my food with a minimal amount of fat and sugar, which is how I can eat large, satisfying portions and not weigh even more than I do. :)  The absolutely yummy meals I received where huge!  So large in fact that I shared quite a few with Hubby and I even split one breakfast right down the middle with My Little Guy!  They’re loaded with satisfying vegetables, grains, beans and fruits.  Each meal is balanced so that when I was finished eating I was satisfied until the next meal.

The variety of vegetarian meals is enormous!

Most frozen food companies offer a limited supply of vegetarian entrees.  I was wondering if I was going to receive the same foods to eat day after day.  Nope.  I didn’t eat the same thing twice, which is great because I love variety.  I took a look at Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating vegetarian menu and every day’s meal offerings are different.  A weekly plan consists of three meals per day, 21 meals per week, boasting a variety of more than 100 unique meals which rotate every five weeks, so no meal is repeated within the five weeks.

How do Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating vegetarian meals taste?

Fabulous!  Some of the 12 meals I received reminded me of my home cooking and that’s a good thing.  They were comforting, cozy and satisfying.  Some meals introduced me to foods and dishes that were new to me so I felt like I was eating gourmet take out.  It was so much fun to open each meal and find out what was prepared especially for me.  There was no calorie counting and each day’s 1500-calorie vegetarian menu was balanced and nutritious.

Day 1

  • Cranberry nut roll with a nutty fruit spread
  • Loaded Stuffed Baked Potato with broccoli florets and cheese
  • Whole wheat pasta topped with fresh tomato sauce accompanied by Seattle Sutton’s signature celery cheese bake and a spiced peach for dessert

Day 2

  • Buttermilk Pancakes with an apple-raisin spiced topping and veggie sausages
  • Bean & Pasta Salad plus a yummy little dessert
  • Soup & sandwich combo!  A huge, delicious garden patty on a hearty grain bun, served with a creamy potato soup and a side of old fashioned baked beans!  Very satisfying and so yummy!

Day 3

Vegetarian Asian Stir Fy Dinner

  • Pomegranate & Cherry Granola tossed with Cranberry vanilla chia, hemp and buckwheat
  • Make your Pocket Pita – A slice of aged Swiss cheese, garbanzo beans and fresh garden greens all tucked in a whole-wheat pita pocket with a refreshing yogurt cucumber dressing with petite orange
  • Vegetables with a savory peanut sauce over a fluffy bed of rice, along with a traditional veggie egg roll and almond cookie

Day 4

  • Egg Wrap Olé served with salsa and 100% pure juice
  • Homemade Vegetable Barely Soup served with whole grain crackers, fresh apple slices and a homemade cookie.
  • Mango Jicama Salad – Diced sweet Mango jicama salad and nutty wild rice in a tasty sauce with a delicious dessert.

    I stay within a strict 1200 calorie a day regiment, I learned they customize your meals for 1200 or 2000 calorie meals. Perfect for me!

    I learned they have nationwide availability and a 5 week menu rotation. Not having to eat the same thing week after week makes the meal plan fresh and enticing.

    I think that everything looks great. I was a vegetarian for a few years a while ago, a longggg while ago and I have never heard of so many awesome and convenient resources and types of food that are great options. I would like to try the fire roasted veg wraps and stuff . I am open to anything

    1st let me say, this is an awesome sweepstake!
    I have been wanting to try more vegetarian options for my family of 3, and it is so hard to find the time!
    I often turn towards pre-packaged (bad food) choices simply because I am so busy, and would love a chance to break out of this rut! I have a 1 year old daughter who I’m try so hard to feed something other than mac n cheese, and think that the Robust Potato skins would be a hit!
