CedarLane Gluten-Free, Vegetarian Tamales Giveaway

Disclosure: CedarLane Natural Foods provided gluten-free, vegetarian products for this Review & Giveaway.  I was not financially compensated and all opinions are my own.

CedarLane Gluten Free Vegetarian Tamales

My daughter’s wedding is approaching fast and I’m determined to fit into my Mother-of-the-Bride dress if it’s the last thing I do (and it just might be!)  I’m eating healthier than ever which can be hard when a craving for Mexican food strikes.  Usually Hubby and I would just hop in the car and visit our local Mexican restaurant.  But there’s no way I’m going to indulge in high calorie, greasy burritos, enchiladas or tamales now!  Enter CedarLane all natural, gluten-free, vegetarian tamales!  Yummy!

I was Blessed to receive a Gift Package of CedarLane Gluten-Free, Vegetarian Tamales for Review and I have another one to Giveaway

A few nights ago Hubby and I were out late and he got a craving for Mexican food.  He stopped at a local drive-thru for tacos.  I knew CedarLane Tamales were on the way so I wasn’t tempted in the least!  Resisting those small, calorie filled, greasy tacos was a smart move.  CedarLane Vegetarian Tamales taste better than anything I could get in a fast food joint.

If you’re not familiar with tamales, they’re a traditional Mexican dish consisting of a corn-based dough called masa filled with seasoned meat, cheese, beans or veggies.  The savory concoction is hand-wrapped in corn husks then steamed or baked to yummy perfection.  CedarLane’s frozen; all-natural, gluten-free tamales can be heated in the microwave or steamed on the stove top.  When microwaved they’re ready in about 3½ minutes, which is faster and more convenient than a drive-thru run.  And the taste?  Phenomenal!  Each variety is a unique fusion of international flavors.

CedarLane Vegetarian Tamales

CedarLane Gluten-Free, Vegetarian Tamales Flavors Include

  • Chile & Cheese Tamales – Contains a spicy mixture of peppers with just the right amount of Monterey Jack, cheddar and cotija cheeses!  Hubby said the Chile & Cheese Tamale reminded him of a cheese-topped bowl of chili with a side of cornbread.
  • Roasted Vegetable Tamales – These delicious tamales make a satisfying meal with a green salad!  They’re filled with a variety of veggies, peppers cheeses and spices that will make your taste buds sing.  Like all CedarLane Tamales these are gluten-free.
  • Spinach & Feta Cheese Tamales – Better than spinach pie!  This tamale highlights the flavors of the Mediterranean.  Featuring spinach, quinoa, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, nonfat Greek yogurt, feta and ricotta cheeses this tamale only has 220 calories per serving.  This is my favorite CedarLane Tamale flavor.
  • Sweet Corn Tamales – One of my favorite foods is freshly picked corn on the cob.  It screams summer.  CedarLane’s Sweet Corn Tamale is a feast of flavors!  It’s filled with sweet corn, roasted poblano peppers and creamy, gooey Monterey Jack cheese.

Look for CedarLane Gluten-Free, Vegetarian Tamales in the freezer case in a store near you.
