Disclosure: As a Tastefully Simple Blogger I received products such as chocolate dessert mixes during the past year to review and giveaway. The opinions expressed are always my own.
Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be as sweet or nearly as much fun without chocolate. Candy hearts are cute but for a chocolate lover like me they just don’t cut it. While I try to stay away from the 5-pound box of assorted milk chocolates I do love to end Valentine’s Day dinner with a tasty, easy to prepare chocolate dessert made with one of Tastefully Simple’s dessert mixes! In addition to their killer Truffle Fudge Brownie Mix, Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix and Chewy Chocolate Cookie Mix, Tastefully Simple has a variety of gourmet, chocolate dessert mixes that can be prepared with just 1 or 2 additional ingredients.
I was Blessed to receive Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix, Chocolate Raspberry Cheese Ball Mix and My Mug Cake™ Red Velvet Cake Mix (Refill Pack) for Review. These chocolate dessert mixes are absolutely delicious!
Valentine’s Day is always celebrated at home because I like to make a special dinner and include the entire family. Don’t get me wrong, Hubby and I love romantic candle lit dinners. We’re just not willing to pay an arm and a leg on a fancy meal on one of the restaurant industries busiest nights of the year.
Create An Extraordinary Chocolate Dessert With Tastefully Simple
I admit that I’ve spent hours creating elaborate desserts for Valentine’s Day. That ended when I found Tastefully Simple. Their chocolate dessert mixes take very little time to make and they’re
every bit as good better than the cakes, pies and cookies I slaved over in the past.
- 15 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
- 1 Tbs. Butter
- 1 packet Tastefully Simple Raspberry Chocolate Cheese Ball Mix
- 8 oz. light cream cheese, softened (Do not use fat-free cream cheese. The pie won't set up properly.)
- Raspberries and mini chocolate chips for garnish
- Whipped topping or fresh whipped cream (optional)
- Combine crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and butter and press into a 9inch pie pan. Refrigerate.
- Blend 8 oz. of cream cheese with a packet of Tastefully Simple Raspberry Chocolate Cheese Ball Mix until creamy. Pour into prepared pie pan. Garnish with fresh or frozen red raspberries and a sprinkle with mini chocolate chips. Refrigerate. Garnish with whipped topping or fresh whipped cream just prior to serving. Enjoy
Is Cake Your Chocolate Dessert Of Choice?
It’s hard for me to resist chocolate cake, which is why I celebrate with My Mug Cake™ Red Velvet Cake Mix. Just add 3 Tbsp. of water and dessert mix to a mug and microwave on high for 1 minute. My Mug Cakes are moist, rich and irresistible and there are no leftovers to tempt me!
When I’m baking for a crowd I reach for Tastefully Simple’s Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix. This mix requires just two ingredients, butter and water. Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix makes scrumptious cupcakes that taste so good they don’t even need frosting. For Valentine’s Day, top with red or pink sprinkles prior to baking and dust with powdered sugar just before serving. I like to divide Classy Chocolate Pound Cake Mix and bake half in heart shaped tins and the other half in a cupcake pan. Tip: Fill any empty cupcake wells with water prior to baking. This prevents your pan from warping and keeps cupcakes super moist!
